MASTERWORKS CHORALE ANNOUNCES
Auditions for All Voice Parts

Now in its 87th season, the 60-voice Masterworks Chorale is holding auditions for all voice parts. The repertoire for Music Director Kevin Leong’s tenth anniversary season includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Antonín Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Missa solemnis.
Concerts will be performed in November (Cary Hall, Lexington), March (First Church in Cambridge, Cambridge), and May (Sanders Theatre, Cambridge).
Auditions will be scheduled during an Open Rehearsal for prospective new members on Tuesday, September 8, 7:30–10 PM, at Beth El Temple Center (2 Concord Avenue, Belmont, MA 02478).
Regular rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings, 7:30–10 PM at Beth El Temple Center in Belmont. There is ample free parking and direct access via bus from Harvard Square.
If you would like to audition, please send an email with your name, address, and phone number to membership@masterworkschorale.org. We will supply additional audition and scheduling information at that time.
Our audition consists of the following components: a solo of your choosing to be sung with piano accompaniment and sight reading, with consideration given to accuracy of notes, intervals, and rhythm.
Your chosen solo should demonstrate your legato singing and musical line. It does not have to be memorized. We will provide you an accompanist. Please bring at least one copy of the chosen music.
