Masterworks Chorale has been realizing and sharing the brilliance and depth of choral music since 1940. Though the concert spotlight is on our singers, orchestra musicians and conductor, donors make what we do possible.

As with most other arts organizations, the three-year pandemic greatly impacted our operating revenues, and continues to hinder our ambition to present the best of the choral repertoire to our greater Boston audiences. Your financial support will help us realize that ambition as well as provide a foundation for new initiatives to better engage with our audiences, attract more singers, and present larger works that demand larger orchestras and talented soloists. Please help us fulfill our mission to inspire our larger Boston area audiences by donating today.

All donations are tax-deductible and are acknowledged with a receipt.

The Kaitlyn Schlegel Young Singers Fund

Kaitlyn Schlegel was a wonderful young singer, a cheerful and indomitable spirit, and a dedicated Board member and Administrator for Masterworks Chorale. Kaitlyn died unexpectedly in January 2013, at the age of 26.

To commemorate her life, her love of song, and her numerous efforts to recruit young singers, Masterworks Chorale has created the Kaitlyn Schlegel Young Singers Fund. The Fund provides full payment of the Chorale’s annual dues for undergraduate or graduate college students 30 years of age or less, and full or partial payment of annual dues for non-student young singers who are 26 years of age or less.

Your donation to the Fund is appreciated at any time. You may donate online by credit card by clicking the Donate button above, or by sending a check to the Masterworks Chorale address above.

Consider a Planned Gift

We aspire to delight the next generation of choral singers and lovers, and your inclusion of Masterworks Chorale in your estate planning will ensure recreating these works of transcendence will stand for the next 80 years.

Perhaps it’s knowing that your gift means this heightened experience of human connection will continue. Or perhaps it’s simply knowing your support will perpetuate the ardent work of so many choristers, soloists, instrumentalists and artistic leadership.

Please consult your tax attorney or estate planner to determine the most advantageous charitable gift for you.  And thank you for supporting Masterworks Chorale in this splendid and embracing enterprise.

I find joy and personal fulfillment in being part of a chorus that produces wonderful music.

Why Margaret Wong Supports Masterworks Chorale

The Masterworks Chorale, in addition to its unwavering dedication to presenting glorious music for its audiences, has always intentionally worked at deepening the experience of choral singing for the choristers. This is very important to me because choral singing, the experience of communicating and connecting through sound and rhythm with others, is as fundamental to me as breathing, eating and sleeping. I do not have very much to give, but I will always do what I can for the Masterworks Chorale because this organization has contributed so much to me.

Why Angela Healy Supports Masterworks Chorale

I have been a choral singer since high school. It has been one of the great joys of my life to sing beautiful music in ensembles, with fine orchestras, in great venues, for more than fifty years. Learning, practicing and performing this music with other singers is so good for body, mind and soul.

I am aware of how expensive a passion this is though. The cost for music, venues for rehearsal and concerts, and orchestras add up to so much more than members’ annual dues. That’s why I support Masterworks Chorale with an annual donation. If we want to keep performing at the level that we do, we need to pay the bills!
